Formed in 2015, Vortex brought together a team of highly experienced HydroPower engineers. The Vortex team has 17 years of experience in successfully delivering multiple medium and large scale projects in New Zealand & Asia/Pacific. Vortex developed a design system for highly efficient large scale projects and cost-effective small scale systems. Vortex Hydro is part of the larger Vortex Group.

Vortex has its design office in Rotorua, New Zealand. A sister company Vortex Mechanical provides the manufacturing facilities—a heavy engineering workshop with a highly capable team.

Vortex Hydro uses Internationally renowned turbine designers, combined with specialist turbine manufacture in their New Zealand workshop.
